The APC Market Research and Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for conducting and communicating research and analysis focused on customer, company, industry, market, and financial information. The goal of this research is to facilitate and support growth related initiatives for Alabama Power. Additionally, the Business Intelligence Analyst will also support the primary research initiatives for Alabama Power’s Customer Experience enhancements and Customer Satisfaction goals. This position focuses on defining research objectives based on consultation with business partners, gathering information from multiple sources, synthesizing the information, converting the information into knowledge, and effectively communicating to enhance business partners’ decision-making. Responsibilities for this position include qualitative and quantitative research and analysis of news, public filings, technologies, companies, various industries & markets, along with primary research tools including syndicated surveys and historical survey data. This position supports multiple growth-focused functional areas (e.g. Sales and Marketing, Economic Development, Business Development, etc.) along with the Customer Operations team for Customer Experience & Satisfaction initiatives. The candidate must be able to understand company strategies, market trends and drivers, along with financial and economic concepts. The successful candidate for this position will possess a skill set which includes the ability to research, interpret, and assimilate large amounts of information into clear and concise communications to be shared with both peers and management in both written and presentation formats.
