About The Position

In support of Target’s Global Supply Chain and Logistics business, Human Resources is a critical partner in the ability to build the very best teams, and as HR we infuse our work with Target’s distinctive retail brand by continuously experimenting, evolving and innovating. As a Market Sr HR Manager (MSHRM), you will be a key strategic partner for the regional Human Resources Director (HRD) in your support of multiple sites within a region. Whether through onboarding, performance management or giving leaders and team members the guidance that they need to be successful, you will be a knowledgeable and committed HR leader for buildings throughout your region. You’ll make a positive impact on how team members experience organizational change, and you’ll use information/data/analytics and work closely with leaders to build teams that help them achieve their specific business goals. You’ll also work closely with our leaders to recruit, retain, develop, and optimize the performance and engagement of individuals and teams. You’ll think innovatively to solve problems, and deliver excellent HR services with quality and efficiency, while also championing standardization of critical HR processes and working with Headquarter partners to accelerate performance across the HR organization. You’ll work both from the office and in the field via Site visits and on-site meetings to stay close to your market. The MSHRM reports to the HR Director, and partners closely with HR Leaders. Core responsibilities of this job are described within this job description. Job duties may change at any time due to business needs. As a MSHRM, you’ll travel to various Sites based on your market.

Requirements

Four-year degree or equivalent experience
Ability to leverage strong interpersonal skills to communicate clearly and effectively in all situations at varying levels of the organization; including but not limited to senior leadership.
Strong reasoning, analytical, problem solving and decision making skills.
Proven ability to motivate teams and manage conflict.
Ability to understand policies and procedures and relate them to others.
Basic knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, computer systems (examples include Excel, Word, O365)
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
Proven ability to teach and train others.
Demonstrated skills and abilities in one or more of the following: employee relations, talent acquisition, organizational strategy or training and development.
