About The Position

The Market Research Analyst will be responsible for coordinating and implementing general product research projects, analyzing markets, and conducting various types of research including online, in-person, and telephone surveys. This role involves moderating focus groups, conducting customer research, and developing research plans, questionnaires, and discussion guides. The analyst will also manage project budgets, work with external vendors, and recruit participants. A key aspect of the role is analyzing and summarizing research results to provide insights that drive new product development, maintaining relationships with KMC representatives and the dealer network, and staying informed about the Powersports industry.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
  • Minimum 3-5 years related experience and/or training in a market research environment.
  • Solid knowledge and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint software.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to successfully prioritize and organize multiple, competing tasks.
  • Extremely detailed and deadline oriented.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to think outside of the box.
  • Ability to take data and communicate the results effectively.
  • Willingness to keep an open mind.
  • Ability to accomplish tasks autonomously.
  • Comfortable in presenting in front of large groups.

Nice To Haves

  • A Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or equivalent from a four-year college is preferred.
  • Experience with Powersports products is preferred.
  • Experience with Qualtrics and Tableau is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and implements general product research projects.
  • Coordinates initial planning of research projects.
  • Analyzes markets in which research projects may or will be conducted.
  • Conducts Online, in-person and telephone-based survey research.
  • Conducts online and in-person dealership survey research.
  • Moderates focus groups and leads group discussion during research.
  • Conducts customer at-home research.
  • Conducts customer surveys at shows/events.
  • Develops research survey plans, questionnaires, discussion guides, invitation cards, and follows up with participants if needed.
  • Develops project budgets, tracks all research expenses and prepares and submits expense invoices for payment.
  • Works with external vendors for research projects and maintains positive relationships.
  • Recruits and monitors the recruiting of participants for research projects.
  • Conducts data entry of survey results.
  • Programs web-based survey programming using Qualtrics.
  • Analyzes, summarizes and makes recommendations based on research results.
  • Develops summary reports and backup data for reports.
  • Crafts compelling stories, by translating data into insights that drive new product development.
  • Maintains positive relationships with KMC representatives and KMC dealer network.
  • Maintains a solid understanding of the overall Powersports industry.
  • Continuously monitors the Powersports industry and reports findings on a daily basis.
  • Assists in the preparation of KHI Six-month Report.
