About The Position

Market Quality Engineers support department performance metrics and targets by analyzing warranty part failures, investigating product defects, and implementing countermeasures when needed. The role includes testing components and vehicles under conditions intended to recreate failures and simulate possible causes or influences. Engineers identify defects related to design, manufacturing, or sales and service, and investigate root causes. They document and report findings, present summaries to quality management, and collaborate with suppliers and design and service teams to support investigations and resolutions. They also work with responsible departments and suppliers on problem containment and support cost recovery efforts and negotiations through warranty data analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, electronic, electrical technology, mechanical, or engineering fields, or equivalent related work experience.
• 0–6 years of experience, depending on education.
• Ability to investigate technical problems, draw conclusions from observations and data, and approach root-cause analysis analytically.

Responsibilities

• Analyze failed warranty parts and test components and vehicles to recreate failures and simulate possible causes or influences.
• Identify product defects related to design, manufacturing, or sales and service, and investigate root causes.
• Prepare technical documentation and reports and present summaries to quality management.
• Communicate with suppliers, design teams, and service teams to support problem investigation and resolution.
• Work with responsible departments and suppliers to facilitate problem containment.
• Support cost recovery efforts and negotiations by examining warranty data and associated analysis records.
• Implement countermeasures when necessary to support department results.
