About The Position

Toyota is exploring opportunities to fulfill the mobility needs of business customers. Led by TFS, this is an enterprise-wide business that seeks to provide customer centric solutions to the varied needs of non-retail (business) customers. This role is responsible for establishing, integrating and maintaining a strong understanding of the non-retail customer and dealer’s needs. In addition, benchmarking competitive environment and providing insights on risk and opportunities within the segment. This role is critical in reflecting customer needs and motivations in all aspects of products, services and experiences that Toyota creates. Further, this provides the foundation for marketing and communications strategies for new business opportunities.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree
  • 2+ years of experience in consumer insights, marketing or market research
  • Prior experience engaging with customers and or dealers (i.e.. interviews, focus groups, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to combine quantitative and qualitative insights to support business strategy
  • Strong story telling ability, communicating effectively across all levels of the organization, creating engagement and aligned understanding

Responsibilities

  • Develop clear definition of target business customers - based on research, genchi genbutsu, and various data sources.
  • Represent the needs and motivations of non-retail business customers in strategy development and business plans - promote common understanding of the customer with all stakeholders - advocate for the customer need in any business solution.
  • Understand and promote the needs of the dealer network - identify opportunities and risk management by leveraging the dealer network.
  • Utilize TFS and TMNA consumer insights resources for an efficient development of market image and customer needs.
  • Lead benchmarking and competitor insights. Have a clear understanding of the market and competitors – identify changes and trends, then translate this into business opportunities for Toyota.
  • This business scope assumes that current TFS and TMNA products and services are not directly transferable, as such, this role will be key in creating a requirements to support non-retail customers.
