About The Position

This role is responsible for performing minor facility repair work, including plumbing, electrical, painting, and carpentry. The clerk will also perform scheduled maintenance on refrigeration/freezer cases and major equipment, triage work order requests, and work closely with the Facility Maintenance Team. The position requires the use of various hand and power tools, ordering and maintaining an inventory of spare parts, and potentially acting as a point of contact with vendors and contractors. Additionally, the role involves ensuring the general cleanliness of the market, detecting and diagnosing problems, performing safety checks, and adhering to all company and department policies, including sustainability, safety, and security policies. The clerk is expected to demonstrate a service-oriented attitude towards co-workers and customers, operate within the company's core values and brand, and stay updated on industry trends and standards. Providing excellent customer service is a key aspect of this role.

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience with proven ability to perform general facility work
  • Possess an attitude of service to others
  • Are accurate and detail oriented
  • Demonstrate self-discipline and accountability
  • Have the ability to take direction and carry out department tasks and assignments
  • Have excellent customer service skills
  • Have excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills and good record keeping skills

Responsibilities

  • Performs minor facility repair work (plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry)
  • Performs scheduled refrigeration/freezer case/major equipment maintenance
  • Triages work order requests (refrigeration/drains)
  • Work closely with Facility Maintenance Team
  • Uses a variety of hand and power tools
  • Orders and maintains proper inventory of spare parts
  • May act as a point of contact with vendors and contractors
  • Ensures general cleanliness of market
  • Detects and diagnoses problems
  • Performs safety checks
