About The Position

Heritage Financial Credit Union is seeking a Market Director of Retail Banking to lead multiple branches. This role involves inspiring teams, spotting opportunities, and driving performance to ensure both employees and members thrive. Requirements

  • 4-year college degree preferred plus three to five years’ experience in audit management; or a comparable combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) requirements and compliance.
  • Seven to ten years’ experience in the management of Retail Banking, Sales and Banking.
  • 5 years strategic management at a senior management level; or a comparable combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Experience using P.C. based software including Microsoft Office and lending systems, etc.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and articulate a clear vision and strategy that inspires and motivates teams, and engages stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with employees, members and external partners to foster a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to lead and drive change initiatives.
  • Ability to project a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times.
  • Ability to analyze data and metrics to drive decision making, identify opportunities and measure success.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a Universal Associate model financial institution a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the operations, performance, and strategic direction of all branches in the assigned Market.
  • Drive growth, enhance member experience, and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal policies and procedures.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor branch managers and branch staff.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture focused on member service and team collaboration.
  • Conduct regular coaching and performance check-ins to enhance team effectiveness.
  • Ensure all branches operate efficiently and meet established goals and objectives.
  • Establish clear performance metrics including member satisfaction, loan growth, and deposit growth for each branch and regularly review progress towards goals.
  • Implement policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and mitigate risks.
  • Develop and execute market strategies aligned with the Credit Union’s overall goals.
  • Analyze market trends and member needs to identify opportunities for growth and new services.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align market initiatives with organizational objectives.
  • Oversee Market budget, ensuring financial targets are met.
  • Monitor and control expenses across all branches, identifying areas for cost reduction.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and internal controls.
  • Champion member service excellence and lead initiatives to enhance member satisfaction.
  • Engage with community organizations and events to promote the credit union’s presence and services.
  • Address escalated member concerns and feedback to drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure all branches adhere to regulations and internal policies.
  • Monitor and review audits and assessments to identify potential risks and compliance issues.
  • Implement corrective actions as necessary to maintain operational integrity.
