Market Director Education Central Valley
About The Position
Dignity Health, a large health care system, is seeking a Market Director Education for its Central Valley Market. This role provides leadership and direction for nursing and clinical education across 7 hospitals in the Central Valley. The Market Director will ensure programs align with operational and strategic needs, maintain professional practice standards, and support evidence-based practice. This position requires an experienced education leader with a strong clinical nursing foundation, excellent communication, organization, and time management skills, and expertise in developing strategic learning plans.
Requirements
- Masters Degree in Nursing, MBA, MHA or related field required.
- Minimum of three (3) years of general nursing experience required.
- Minimum of five (5) years in a leadership role having a significant business impact required.
- Leadership experience within an Academic Medical Center required.
- Registered Nursing License (RN) in CA required.
- Nursing specialty certification required within 12 months of start date.
Nice To Haves
- Doctorate Of Nursing DNP/PHD preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provides leadership, direction, and focus for nursing and clinical education throughout the Central Valley Market.
- Ensures programs are closely coordinated and aligned with the operational and strategic needs of each individual facility's leadership.
- Strives to maintain consistent levels of professional practice which meet or exceed standards of excellence.
- Provides oversight of evidence-based practice and the planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of activities for nursing.
- Supports the National Nursing Strategy, regional initiatives and goals and objectives that increase the clinical, leadership, and management competency of clinical teams.
