Join our team as a Market Design Analyst! The Market Design Analyst plays a key role in supporting the design, analysis, and implementation of Markets+ services. This position is responsible for understanding current market design, evaluating the impact of proposed changes, and ensuring market functionality aligns with intended outcomes. The role combines analytical expertise, technical collaboration, and stakeholder engagement to help drive successful market operations and enhancements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in economics, mathematics, or other related field
• Market Design Analyst I - no experience required
• Market Design Analyst II - Three years of job-related experience
• Proficient at organizing and conducting technical and analytical studies
• Knowledge of electric market concepts and ability to apply understanding in unique analysis
• Ability to support diverse team members and manage complex analysis projects
• Strong facilitation skills
• Strong interpersonal and team-building skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Competent working skills with communication and data handling software such as Microsoft Office, Excel and Access
• Demonstrate proficiency in business acumen and professional conduct
• Demonstrate the ability to function with constantly changing and multiple priorities
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in utility operations, RTO operations or energy trading
• Experience with data manipulation and analysis of large data sets

Responsibilities

• Analyze and evaluate Markets+ design and proposed changes
• Test and validate market functionality
• Develop market metrics, reporting, and ad hoc analysis
• Support market software development, testing, and implementation
• Identify market issues and respond to customer inquiries
• Provide technical expertise to stakeholder groups and committees
• Support regulatory (FERC) filings with data and documentation
• Research other market designs and industry practices
• Document findings and create educational materials
