About The Position

The Market Distribution Center Driver performs all customer deliveries to and from the Market Distribution Center (DC). This role's primary contribution is ensuring the timely delivery of products to customers.

Requirements

Typically requires a high school or GED degree and zero (0) to two (2) years of experience in a related field.
Reliable and organized while paying attention to details.
Ability to read and interpret packing slips and delivery instructions; ability to document any information obtained from customers during delivery.
Valid driver’s license and annual review of driving record.
Road test is required upon hire.
Internal training and certifications required upon hire.
Medical Card / DOT Physical.
Must comply with applicable federal DOT guidelines.

May assist with restocking of products on shelves.
May perform material handling duties when needed.
May be required to earn safety certifications for specific customers.

Responsibilities

Unloads products at the customer location and obtains customer's signature on the packing slip to show.
Assists Market DC employees in preparing items for delivery to customers; may include packing of products into boxes or sorting delivery items by route.
Maintains Vendor Managed Inventory programs at customer locations.
May assist with restocking of products on shelves.
May perform material handling duties when needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
