About The Position

The Market Data Analyst is responsible for combining external market data from sources like Nielsen and Euromonitor with internal company data to generate actionable insights. This role will analyze market trends, track business performance, and provide data-driven support for internal strategy and customer engagements. The analyst will work directly with business leaders and the sales team to use data to inform decisions and drive business growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in a market analysis, business intelligence, or category management role.
  • Experience working with complex data sources, preferably with market data such as Nielsen or IRI.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, modeling) and PowerPoint.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to distill complex data into clear summaries.
  • Clear communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present data to internal and external audiences.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG), packaging, or manufacturing industries.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
  • Familiarity with CRM (e.g., Salesforce) and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze syndicated data from Nielsen, Euromonitor, and other sources to identify market trends, competitive activity, and changes in consumer behavior.
  • Combine external market data with internal sales and operational data to evaluate business performance.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports to track key metrics such as market share, category growth, and pricing.
  • Translate data into clear, actionable insights for leadership and other departments.
  • Develop and present regular market intelligence reports that highlight business opportunities and risks.
  • Provide data analysis to support strategic initiatives, including new product development and market entry plans.
  • Work with the Sales and Marketing teams to create data-driven presentations for customer meetings.
  • Provide market and category expertise to support customer discussions.
