About The Position

RBC Dominion Securities, a leading investment and wealth management firm in Canada, is seeking a highly experienced, analytical, technical, and resourceful Market & Trading Specialist to join their top discretionary team in Vancouver. This role will provide exceptional market knowledge, extensive experience with trade practices and execution, and advanced technical support to the Senior Portfolio Manager. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in a similar role or significant experience in the decision-making process and trade execution within a Canadian wealth management firm. This position involves close daily collaboration with the Senior Portfolio Manager, focusing on managing client portfolios, analysis, and trading, requiring ADVANCED Excel skills.

Requirements

• Extensive Market and Trading knowledge.
• ADVANCED or higher Excel skills and strong skills and knowledge with business applications and technology.
• Active Registered Representative (RR) license.
• Show initiative, independent and a team player.
• Proactive and resourceful. A self-starter.
• High quality time management and organizational skills.
• Exceptional English verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience working in Capital Markets.
• At least 10 years of experience in a similar role or a high degree of experience in the decision-making process in addition to being heavily involved in the execution of trades in a wealth management firm in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Provide updates and recommendations on market conditions and trade accordingly.
• Update and maintain Trading and Reporting spreadsheets.
• Bulk trading and allocation.
• Tax reporting and analysis.
• Follow up on client trades to ensure proper settlement and delivery.
• Research.
