About The Position

Under the general direction of the Manufacturing Supervisor, this position is responsible for the accurate labeling of parts and assemblies using various marking methods. Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Possess and develop skills required for the position; including but not limited to basic math, understanding and interpretation of blueprints, use of precision measurement tools.

Responsibilities

Understands engineering drawings, factory orders, and routers to determine marking requirements
Use the appropriate marking method (Electro-Etch, Laser, Vibro-Peen, Dot-Peen, Ink) to clearly and correctly identify materials, test pieces, and other assemblies as required
Barcode scan or manually enter identification requirements in the computer
Manually transfer ink marking onto part surfaces
Pre-form aluminum tags before assembly
Apply aluminum tags into place
Assemble stainless tags onto hoses and tubes
Assemble shrink sleeve over marking as required and set in place
Consistently, regularly and predictably at work and on time
Other duties may be assigned as needed
