You’ll leverage your specialized knowledge and expertise in Uncrewed systems and marine mammals, including applying scientific and engineering principles, criteria, and techniques to identify and assess threat system safety hazards and inform the implementation of mitigations to reduce warfighter risk. As a Maritime System Technician, you'll enjoy a dynamic team environment of client and contractor staff while executing research and development of robotic and uncrewed systems across multiple operational domains and mission areas. You'll apply advanced extensive technical expertise and complete industry knowledge. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Requirements

  • HS diploma or GED
  • Top Secret clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with submarine deployment and Operational Tempo
  • Knowledge of SSN torpedo room layout and functionality
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Possession of excellent critical thinking, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Certified IVER 3 and IVER 4 AUV Operator and Repair Technician Certification

Responsibilities

  • Conducting system safety hazard analyses and risk assessments for identifying hazards
  • Using hazard tracking systems
  • Preparing system safety risk acceptance documents
  • Presenting to DoD system safety review boards
  • Writing information papers and concepts of operation (CONOPs)
  • Standing up and fielding specialized maritime equipment
  • Delivering reference-based and hands-on training to Department of War personnel for unmanned maritime systems
  • Providing systems engineering support and technical assistance to various AUV programs
  • Analyzing, researching, assessing, and organizing technical data into cohesive and clear technical reports and presentations
  • Organizing, scheduling, and facilitating technical meetings and working groups
