The Napa County Office of Education is seeking passionate, dependable, and community-minded individuals to serve as full-time AmeriCorps Members within the Mariposa Program during the 2026–2027 school year. The Mariposa Lead Coach & Youth Mentor Fellow role is designed for individuals looking to take on a leadership-focused service experience while making a direct impact in the lives of youth across Napa County school sites. In addition to mentoring and supporting students, Lead Coaches will work closely alongside the Mariposa Program Coordinator to help strengthen program culture, support broader program goals, and help cultivate a positive and connected cohort experience for fellow Coaches throughout the school year. Lead Coaches serve as mentors, leaders, and positive role models for youth through culturally responsive programming, leadership development, relationship-building, and social-emotional support activities designed to help students feel connected, empowered, and successful both inside and outside of school. This role is ideal for individuals interested in education, counseling, psychology, youth development, social work, cultural studies, nonprofit leadership, or public service. Members will gain meaningful hands-on experience supporting youth while also developing leadership, facilitation, collaboration, and program support skills alongside experienced program leaders. The Mariposa Program through the Napa County Office of Education focuses on culturally responsive mentoring, prevention education, leadership development, and community-building opportunities for youth throughout Napa County. Members may also support student engagement connected to Ballet Folklórico programming, cultural enrichment opportunities, and community events.
