Experienced Marine Service Technician
About The Position
Our client is looking for an experienced, well-rounded Marine Service Technician who enjoys a mix of diagnostics, mechanical work, and hands-on time in the yard. This is a role for someone who takes pride in solving problems and wants to be part of a growing operation that is included in an intimate Chespeake Bay Marina portfolio. Tucked along a quiet, protected creek just minutes from the Chesapeake Bay, this opportunity offers more than just a job. Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on marine service experience
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across multiple systems
- Experience with Mercury/MerCruiser and Yanmar engines
- Ability to work independently and contribute to a team
- Ability to operate a marine travel lift
Nice To Haves
- Exposure to plumbing and HVAC systems is highly valued
- Yanmar certification
- Mercury / MerCruiser certification
- ABYC Systems or similar certification
Responsibilities
- Diagnosing and repairing marine engines and systems
- Working with inboard and outboard engines
- Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
- Completing routine service and preventative maintenance
- Supporting a clean, organized, and efficient service operation
- Supporting the operations of the yard as needed, including travel lift operation
- Winterizing and commissioning
