About The Position

Journey’s End Marina, a first-class marina with over 30 years of history in Rockland, Maine, is seeking an experienced Service Manager for a full-time, year-round position. The ideal candidate will be organized, possess strong service management and people skills, and be capable of delivering quality work in a timely manner to meet customer expectations. Essential qualifications include marine industry and boating experience, along with an understanding of small boat handling. Microsoft Office Suite experience is preferred. This is a full-time, salaried, exempt position.

• Must be authorized to work in the US
• Understand and follow instructions, directions, and safety rules in English
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, walk, talk and hear; handle, or operate objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms.
• The employee must occasionally climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• Ability to lift/carry at least 50 pounds

Nice To Haves

• Microsoft office Suite experience is preferred
• Highschool or GED diploma preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Meeting with supervisors to help manage and triage daily and seasonal workloads
• Provide clients with job updates, and scope of work challenges
• Work with ownership to devise best practices for safety
• Securing seasonal storage opportunities & prospective winter work
• Mitigate loss of production & complications through extensive client communications
• Work well as part of a close-knit team
