About The Position

Canada Pump and Power is growing and preparing for several exciting projects launching soon. They are looking for experienced Marine Equipment Operators who are ready to get on board, work safely, and make an impact. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work on the water and has the skills to operate marine equipment safely, efficiently, and professionally. The company is hiring for projects in the Fort McMurray region, as well as other locations throughout Alberta, British Columbia, and Southern Saskatchewan. Flights and camp accommodations are provided from Calgary or Edmonton to remote site locations. Travel and accommodations for non-remote project sites are also provided.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of experience operating marine equipment
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record
• No DUIs or distracted driving charges
• Marine Emergency Duties: MED A3 or SDV-BS certification
• Small Vessel Operator Proficiency: SVOP certification
• CSO or BSO Certification
• Ability to complete drug and alcohol screening, including cannabis
• Ability to complete a Clean Criminal Record Check
• Ability to complete a pre-employment quiz
• Ability to read, write, and understand English fluently

Responsibilities

• Operate marine equipment, including boats, barges, dredges, and related equipment
• Follow Canada Pump and Power’s Safe Work Policies, Procedures, and Practices
• Comply with applicable company, client, industry, and regulatory requirements
• Complete Field Level Risk Assessments using Nektar
• Identify, report, and help correct hazards, incidents, and near misses
• Support project operations and complete additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor
