About The Position

Pantheon Data is seeking a Marine Mechanical Engineer to support the US Coast Guard. This role involves reviewing third-party design modifications and improvements to mechanical systems and components. The engineer will perform design reviews, evaluate constructability, help resolve technical issues, and manage information generated during the design and construction phases of multiple, concurrent projects.

Requirements

  • Master of Science (MS) Degree in Mechanical Engineering or MS Marine Engineering (Mechanical) with a minimum 6 years work experience.
  • Progressive experience in one of the following marine fields: shipboard auxiliary systems, propulsion systems, HVAC, fire suppression, or other shipboard piping systems.
  • Experience with supporting a major system acquisition program (DHS/USCG Level I, DoD ACAT I or equivalent), specifically shipbuilding acquisitions.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to work independently and take a proactive role.
  • Ability to work effectively remotely in cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and produce quality work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite software including Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
  • U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Navy, USCG or DHS highly desired.
  • A degree in marine or mechanical engineering is preferred.
  • Experience with Navy or USCG shipboard systems preferred.
  • Experience with Auto-CAD preferred.
