About The Position

This role involves assisting in all aspects of Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) initiatives for both routine operations and major projects. The officer will provide on-site support, gather information for investigations and audits, and conduct compliance audits. A key part of the role is to actively support Operations and Management in identifying and mitigating occupational HSSE hazards, ensuring effective implementation of company HSSE processes and procedures, and maintaining proper records. The position also requires providing HSSE liaison and support for medical facilities within the Genesis Marine Protocol network and participating as a member of the Standardization Team.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Five years of experience with an HSSE-related degree, or seven to ten years of experience in HSSE without such a degree
  • Ability to travel up to 70% of the time with approximately 40% of that time requiring overnight travel
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite products

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or other HSSE certification preferred
  • Emergency Response training

Responsibilities

  • Assist in all aspects of Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) initiatives, including routine operations and major projects as directed by HSSE management.
  • Provide onsite support and gather vital information for investigations and audits involving company and contractor employees and equipment as required.
  • Conduct audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures at designated locations.
  • Be present and actively support Operations and Management in identifying and mitigating occupational HSSE hazards.
  • Ensure effective implementation of Company HSSE processes and procedures, with proper maintenance of records in the area of responsibility.
  • Ensure compliance with HSSE policies and procedures for all employees and equipment.
  • Participate in and support audits and inspections as required or instructed by HSSE management.
  • Provide on-site confirmation and support to management for the correct actions, inspections, and audit findings.
  • Provide in-person HSSE liaison and support for medical facilities and personnel within the Genesis Marine Protocol network.
  • Stand duty as required.
  • Participate as a member of the Standardization Team.
