About The Position
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Marine Estimator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of marine construction, vessel repair, shipyard operations, or marine services and be capable of preparing accurate cost estimates for a variety of marine projects.
Requirements
- Experience in marine estimating, marine construction, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of marine industry practices and terminology.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and estimating software.
- Strong communication and organizational abilities.
Responsibilities
- Review project specifications, drawings, and bid documents.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
- Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations.
- Analyze project risks and develop pricing strategies.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and operations teams.
- Assist with bid preparation, proposal development, and contract reviews.
- Maintain estimating databases and historical cost records.
- Support project handoff after contract award.
