About The Position

Plan, lay-out, install, test and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, motors, equipment and control systems in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes and industry standards. This role involves a rotational schedule of 19 days on and 9 days off. The position requires a valid Driver's License and reliable transportation to and from the job site. Travel by land, air, and water to field locations is required, with transportation paid. The job involves working at heights, climbing ladders and stairways, and working from platforms. Candidates must be able to work outside in various elements, including heat, cold, rain, snow, and wind, and tolerate rough seas, vibrations, confined spaces, and high noise levels. The role frequently requires pushing, pulling, bending, standing for long periods, and climbing ladders. Lifting or carrying miscellaneous equipment, supplies, and parts up to 50 lbs. unassisted is also required. Requirements

3+ years of electrician experience
Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site
Ability to work a 50-hour work week M-F, overtime as needed
Must be able to work 7 days/week as needed
Ability to read, interpret, and troubleshoot hydraulic drawings and systems
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and mechanical drawings
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical equipment
Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with craft workers under his/her supervision and management/supervision.
Ability to work independently and with others - team player
Proficient in the safe and efficient use of electrical, hand tools, power tools and layout tools as well as measurement tools.
Must possess a valid Driver's license, must have a good driving record.
Ability to work at heights, climb ladders and stairways and work from platforms.
Must be capable of working outside in the elements including but not limited to the heat, cold, rain, snow and wind.
Must be able to tolerate rough seas, vibrations, heat, harsh weather conditions, confined spaces, and high noise levels.
Work will frequently require individuals to push, pull, bend or stand for long periods of time, and climb ladders.
Must be able to lift or carry miscellaneous equipment, supplies and parts up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
Speaks fluent English

TWIC - Transportation Worker Identification Credential (preferred)

Responsibilities

Interprets drawings, sketches, software, plans and determines best work procedures, tools, equipment needed to troubleshoot and repair problems.
Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles and installs electrical conduit; weld supports; install cable and duct banks; make terminations.
Installs control and distribution apparatus’ and fastens in place.
Test and start up systems and continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components.
Observes functioning of installed equipment or system to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
May be required to pull wire through conduit; connect wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment.
Work with high and low voltage systems.
Disassembles and repairs defective electrical equipment or systems.
Operate electrical and mechanical hand tools, power, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical tools.
Estimating sizes, distances, and quantities; or determining time, costs, resources, or materials needed to perform a work activity.
Inspect subordinate's work for compliance with the contract plans and specifications, point out deficiencies and explain and take any corrective action needed.
Performs other duties as required.
