This position is responsible for adjusting and maintaining marine electrical equipment, including subassemblies like motor controllers, motors, switches, outlets, junction boxes, voltage regulators, and transformers. The role involves diagnosing faults, repairing and replacing parts, rewiring, and troubleshooting electrical systems. Responsibilities also include cleaning parts, performing routine maintenance, testing equipment after repairs, soldering, and adhering to technical documentation. The Marine Electrician I will also be responsible for maintaining an inventory of parts and keeping equipment service records. A key aspect of the role involves interpreting technical documentation such as blueprints, NAVSEA Standard Items, Technical Manuals, and MIL-STDs.
