About The Position

A leading marine service facility in Fairhaven, MA, is looking for Experienced Marine Diesel Mechanics to join their team. In this position, technicians will repair diesel engines from manufacturers such as Caterpillar, Cummins, Detroit Diesel, and Northern Lights. Preference will be given to technicians with 5+ years of experience in marine diesel repairs, ideally with product knowledge and expertise in CAT, Cummins, Detroit/MTU, or other major marine diesel systems. Requirements

Minimum 5 years’ hands-on experience with diesel engine diagnostics and repair
Direct experience with CAT, Cummins, and/or Detroit/MTU engines
Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple projects
Professional attitude, appearance, and communication skills
Must have your own tools
Must meet U.S. employment eligibility verification requirements

Nice To Haves

5+ years of experience in marine diesel repairs
Product knowledge and expertise in CAT, Cummins, Detroit/MTU, or other major marine diesel systems
Marine engine experience
Gensets, hydraulics, and electrical knowledge
Experience with Northern Lights, marine hydraulic systems, gensets, and marine electrical components

Responsibilities

Repair diesel engines from manufacturers such as Caterpillar, Cummins, Detroit Diesel, and Northern Lights.
Perform diagnostics and repair on diesel engines.

Accommodate emergency repairs by working overtime and occasional weekends.
