About The Position

RINA is currently recruiting for a Marine Design & Engineering US Operations Project Manager to join its office in Fort Lauderdale within the Marine Design & Engineering Division. The Project Manager is responsible and accountable for executing and leading projects, ensuring completion of deliverables within the defined deadlines, scope, and budget. The Project Manager stands at the center of a complex set of relationships among the client, RINA, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors who deliver the elements of the project. The skill of balancing the demands and expectations of these groups lies at the heart of a successful project. The Project Manager is accountable for obtaining and managing adequate resources to meet all project objectives in the most efficient and effective manner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering General
  • 5+ years of experience managing a team of people on projects of moderate size/complexity and/or multiple projects simultaneously with a solid track record of successfully leading projects from initiation to completion on time, on budget, and within scope, including resource management across disciplines
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
  • Proficiency understanding of engineering concepts and calculations.
  • Ability to collaborate with engineers and technical experts.
  • Ensure accurate incorporation of engineering calculations into project plans
  • Proven experience in assembling and leading project teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to assign tasks based on team members' skills, motivate the team, and manage them effectively.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with engineering software is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop project plans outlining the scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Define project tasks and resource requirements.
  • Create and maintain project schedules.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between the consulting engineering firm and the client.
  • Understand client requirements and expectations.
  • Provide regular updates and progress reports to clients.
  • Assemble and lead a project team.
  • Assign tasks to team members based on their skills and expertise.
  • Motivate and manage team members to achieve project goals.
  • Develop project budgets and ensure that projects are delivered within budget constraints.
  • Monitor project expenses and financial performance.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Proactively address issues that may impact project delivery.
  • Ensure that the project meets quality standards and client expectations.
  • Implement and enforce quality control processes.
  • Understand and manage contract terms and conditions.
  • Ensure that the project complies with contractual obligations.
  • Facilitate communication between team members, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular project meetings to discuss progress, issues, and solutions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation.
