About The Position

Ocean Havens Marinas is seeking a part-time Dock Hand for Charlestown Marina on Boston Harbor for the remainder of the season through October. The ideal candidate will be cheerful, knowledgeable, and courteous, providing top-notch customer service while maintaining a professional image. Safety is a key priority in this role.

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to operate a VHF radio, hand tools, and power tools.
• Able to read, write, and use basic computer programs.
• Able to swim.
• Strong customer service instincts and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of boating, Boston, and the surrounding area is a plus, but not required — full training is provided, and all are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-class customer service in every interaction.
• Perform daily opening and closing duties, dock walks, meter readings, and pump-outs, following equipment sanitation procedures.
• Maintain grounds, docks, walkways, restrooms, and equipment.
• Assist with special events, which may fall outside normal operating hours.
• Learn marina rates and policies, and bring a proactive, honest, and professional work ethic to the team.
• Perform other duties as assigned, always with an eye toward the safety of yourself, customers, and marina property.
