About The Position

The Marina Ambassador is responsible for helping maintain a safe, orderly, and welcoming environment at the Johnson’s Point recreational facilities, including the boat launch, docks, beach, gazebos, and surrounding area. The primary responsibility of this position is to verify that all boats utilizing the launch area are properly registered and display current North Carolina Wildlife and HOA registration decals/stickers in accordance with HOA rules and regulations.

Requirements

• Minimum age: 18 years old
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional
• Ability to work with limited supervision
• Basic report writing and documentation skills
• Reliable transportation and punctual attendance

Nice To Haves

• Prior security, HOA, marina, recreation, park attendant, or customer service experience
• Experience dealing with the public in a professional environment

Responsibilities

• Monitor all activity at the boat launch area.
• Verify that boats display current North Carolina Wildlife registration and HOA registration decals/stickers.
• Politely communicate HOA registration requirements to residents and guests.
• Document boats lacking proper registration/decals.
• Record vehicle and boat information.
• Notify HOA Management regarding violations.
• Monitor the beach, docks, piers, gazebos, and recreational areas for unauthorized use, disorderly conduct, unsafe behavior, excessive noise, vandalism, safety hazards, and unauthorized fires or grills.
• Assist residents and guests with general information.
• Help maintain a safe & family-friendly environment.
