About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Manufacturing Workplace Coach Manager (Level K) to support the Fabrication Skill Enhancement Center team located in Portland, Oregon and Salt Lake City, Utah. This role involves managing employees who perform advanced technical knowledge and leadership for manufacturing projects to resolve production concerns. The manager will develop and execute project and process plans, implement policies and procedures, and set operational goals. They will also acquire resources, provide technical management of suppliers, lead process improvements, and develop/maintain relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports. Additionally, the role includes providing oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes, and managing, developing, and motivating employees.

Requirements

  • At least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership”
  • 5+ years of experience in Aerospace, Fabrication, or manufacturing environment
  • 5+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal leadership role
  • 5+ years of experience in senior level communication including presentation development and report outs
  • Ability to work variable shift when necessary

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of experience working cross-functionally in a leadership role
  • 3+ years of experience in collaborative problem solving, building lasting relationships & proficiency in written and verbal communication
