About The Position

Vertical Mechanical Group (VMG) is seeking a Manufacturing Worker to join their growing team. This role involves fabricating, building, and assembling HVAC sheet metal and ductwork in a production environment. The worker will ensure materials are prepared accurately and efficiently for installation at commercial job sites. Requirements

Ability to complete sheet metal fabrication projects with accuracy and precision.
Proficient in safely using sheet metal tools, machinery, and equipment.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
Strong measuring, multitasking, and time-management skills.
Ability to meet deadlines in a production-driven environment.
Basic knowledge of HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair practices.
Basic knowledge of HVAC tools, equipment, and mechanical systems.
Basic knowledge of Electrical and control systems related to HVAC.
Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, and organizational skills.
Clear verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work with minimal direct supervision.
Comfortable working on ladders and at heights.

Responsibilities

Fabricate, build, and assemble HVAC sheet metal and ductwork.
Read and interpret blueprints, ductwork orders, and schematics.
Select appropriate materials based on job specifications and structural requirements.
Measure, cut, bend, shape, and assemble sheet metal to precise dimensions.
Weld, rivet, roll, solder, or fasten seams using screws or other approved methods.
Perform assembly-line tasks such as punching holes, bending gutters, and preparing duct sections.
Operate sheet metal fabrication machinery and related software applications safely and efficiently.
Maintain production schedules and meet output demands.
Coordinate equipment shutdowns and startups with other departments.
Maintain accurate records for projects and repairs.
Keep a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
