This mid-level position is responsible for performing moderate manufacturing weld fabrications of various products and components. The MFG Welder 2 demonstrates proficiency as a welder in established procedures and guidelines, including understanding drawings and blueprints, and adhering to standard procedures for equipment use when setting up parts, tack welding, stitch welding, and seal welding. The role requires the ability to work independently or as a team member to provide welding services that satisfy customer needs and achieve departmental goals. The hours for this position are Friday – Sunday 5am – 5:30pm. This role generally requires two to four years of experience and/or demonstrated job-relevant knowledge/skills, and ideally, welding certifications in GMAW and FCAW processes in the 1-3 G/F positions. The MFG Welder 2 possesses moderate knowledge of standard and technical concepts, practices, and procedures in multiple manufacturing areas and works with indirect supervision, demonstrating self-starting capabilities. Incumbents are expected to model company values, collaborate with resources, and participate in ongoing self-development.
