The Manufacturing Welding Engineering Intern will be responsible for proposing and evaluating manufacturing processes and equipment for effectiveness. This role involves accountabilities in maintenance, implementation, and continuous improvement of process controls methods for body shop welding, fastening, sealing, and adhesive applications. The intern will provide welding engineering support to the Body production organization, including troubleshooting, training, and root cause analysis on the plant floor. They will act as a technical resource for manufacturing engineers, skilled trades, and production teams, and will be involved in process validation for new equipment build, installation, and start-up. The position also requires providing a safe work environment and collaborating with engineering and production teams for quality, warranty, and cost improvement activities.
