About The Position

This role is responsible for promoting a safe workplace, performing manufacturing duties, and training less experienced personnel to ensure daily production goals are met. The Manufacturing Trainer 1 will also create and maintain training documents and assist Leads with equipment operation to produce PVA sponge product according to specifications. Responsibilities include cleaning and assembling molds, following operating and safety procedures, and contributing to overall company safety.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent.
1-2 years recent experience working in a ITW Rippey’s manufacturing environment.
Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to follow written instructions.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Average computer skills.
Ability to work as a team member.
Good problem-solving skills.
Proven safety record.

Responsibilities

Promote a safe workplace and follow all established work policies.
Perform molding, demolding and other manufacturing related duties as required.
Able to perform and train others on batch making.
Responsible for training and overseeing other less experienced manufacturing materials processors to ensure daily production goals are achieved.
Create and maintain training documents to assist other Manufacturing Operators.
Assist Leads with the operation of manufacturing equipment to produce PVA sponge product meeting product specifications.
Clean and assemble PVA sponge molds.
Follow established process operating and safety procedures.
Contributes to maintain and improve overall company personnel Safety.
Responsible for adhering to all Company, department, quality, and safety procedures.
Other job-related duties as assigned.
