About The Position

Mercury Systems is seeking a motivated and innovative Manufacturing Test Engineering Intern eager to learn, contribute, and bring fresh ideas to our high-speed Processing Module manufacturing operations. In this hands-on role, you'll support test engineering activities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, working directly with production teams to improve test processes, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to the development of next-generation manufacturing test solutions for mission-critical electronic systems.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a university program pursuing a bachelor’s or master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related technical discipline
• A minimum GPA of 3.1 is required. You will be asked to submit your transcripts during the review process
• Familiarity with a modern scripting language, such as Python, for test automation
• Basic understanding of electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, logic analyzers)
• Exposure to digital and analog circuit fundamentals
• Familiarity with Linux development environments and tools
• Familiarity with Atlassian tools such as GIT/BitBucket for version control
• Familiarity with AI tools to support engineering productivity and problem solving
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

• Support the development, debug, and validation of automated test procedures for high-speed Processing Modules on the production floor
• Assist in troubleshooting test failures and collaborate with engineering to drive root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Contribute to manufacturing process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing test yield, throughput, and efficiency
• Help design, build, and qualify test fixtures and equipment used in production test stations
• Analyze test data to identify trends, recurring failures, and opportunities for process optimization
• Create and maintain test documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures
• Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, and Design Engineering teams to resolve production issues in real time
• Support new product introduction (NPI) activities by helping transition test processes from engineering to production
• Perform calibration checks and routine maintenance/inventory of manufacturing test equipment
• Provide general engineering support to test engineers and production technicians as needed
