About The Position

As a Manufacturing Test Engineer I (Software), you will help develop and maintain the automated software test systems that ensure Innoflight's products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability before they launch into mission-critical applications. Working alongside experienced engineers, you'll build Python-based automation tools, troubleshoot production test issues, and collaborate with Manufacturing, Industrialization, Software, and Hardware Engineering teams to improve manufacturing efficiency and product quality.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
1 or more years of experience in software development, test automation, manufacturing engineering, ATE, or a related engineering environment (internships/co-ops considered).
Working knowledge of Python programming.
Basic understanding of software debugging, scripting, and automated test methodologies.
Familiarity with laboratory instrumentation, embedded hardware, ATE, or manufacturing environments preferred.
Exposure to Linux, SQL databases, version control systems, or automated test frameworks is a plus.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.

Familiarity with laboratory instrumentation, embedded hardware, ATE, or manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

Assists in developing, implementing, and maintaining automated manufacturing test software and Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs) that support reliable production testing.
Develops and modifies Python-based test scripts that interface with automated test equipment (ATE), laboratory instrumentation, data acquisition systems, and units under test.
Supports investigation of manufacturing test failures by collecting test data, identifying software or hardware issues, and assisting with root cause analysis.
Analyzes production test results and recommends improvements that enhance test efficiency, product quality, and First Pass Yield (FPY).
Supports deployment and maintenance of scalable manufacturing test solutions while documenting software updates, test procedures, and configuration changes.
Partners with Manufacturing Engineering, Industrialization, Software, and Hardware Engineering teams to support new product introductions and manufacturing readiness.
Provides technical support to manufacturing technicians by maintaining automated test software and assisting with issue resolution.
Participates in design reviews, production readiness activities, and continuous improvement initiatives while expanding expertise in manufacturing automation.
