Manufacturing Technology Engineer I The Manufacturing Technology Engineer I is responsible for collaborating with internal departments & external vendors to assist in commissioning manufacturing technologies throughout the Niagara network. Commissioning includes but not limited to being on-site to coordinate various activities from various stakeholders, report daily on progress updates, ensure all required assets have been procured, extensive system training & troubleshooting, and provide system support. Essential Functions Support commissioning of systems working with our internal/external stakeholders onsite and plant management teams. Training all end users, to include super users on functionality and process changes as they relate to new manufacturing technologies. Documenting requirements, process flows, new functionality, and creation of SOP/training materials while maintaining all materials in a central repository. Working with business to understand and document system requirements, test various integrations within applications, and update UAT scenarios to deliver and support business needs. Trouble shooting daily operational system issues to define root cause, working in collaboration with business partner to create temporary/permanent solutions. Ability to take direction, learn processes/systems quickly and apply to deliver results based on timeline. Recognize potential problems with existing equipment and develop solutions with the ability to adapt to various engineering designs, applications, and process criteria. Create dashboards and reports that present production data to plant staff and management. Perform data analysis using software tools to model and develop new understanding of manufacturing opportunities. Ability to work in fast paced, dynamic environment collaboratively with a cross-functional team and manage project implementations. Organize, schedule and run meetings to coordinate on-site commissioning’s, identifying opportunities and system needs. Interacting with multiple departments including but not limited to IT, Planning, Logistics, Plant Production Teams, and external vendor. Documenting meeting minutes, action items, issues, and risks. Ability to plan, track, escalate, and deliver upon tasks and timelines assigned. Available for 24/7 support (scheduled and off hours). Excellent problem solver with the ability to keep many driving factors and requirements in focus. Monitor process, technology and provide insights into overall status. Strong communication and documentation skills, ability to communicate and interact at various levels of organization including Plant Directors.
