About The Position

OTSI (Object Technology Solutions, Inc) has an immediate opening for a Manufacturing Technician 1. This is an onsite role where the technician will be responsible for handling FOUPs (Front Opening Unified Pods), staging them, preparing them for production, and managing production materials. The role requires clear communication, adherence to safety and procedural guidelines, and the ability to work independently after qualification. The technician will also support continuous improvement initiatives and escalate issues as needed.

Requirements

  • Communication: Provide clear shift pass down, participate in area meetings, and promptly escalate issues or hazards.
  • Handle FOUPs, FOSBs, and production material safely and appropriately.
  • Follow applicable site, FAB, EHSS, security, contamination-control, and area procedures.
  • Complete required training before independently performing assigned work.
  • Identify and communicate potential hazards, damaged material, or abnormal conditions immediately.
  • Use due diligence when handling packages and materials and follow security protocols.
  • Perform assigned tasks with moderate to limited supervision after qualification.
  • Manage multiple priorities and adjust to changing production needs and schedules.
  • Demonstrate reliability, sound judgment, integrity, teamwork, and strong customer service.
  • Use approved systems or basic computer applications needed to receive, document, track, and complete work.
  • Support continuous improvement by raising practical ideas that improve safety, quality, or efficiency.
  • Escalate constraints, delays, errors, and incomplete work to Product Control leadership.

Nice To Haves

  • Warehouse, material-handling, manufacturing, or similar operational experience preferred
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn required site applications.
  • Ability to follow written procedures, verbal direction, and shift priorities.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and provide professional customer support.
  • Flexibility to support changing schedules and operational needs.
  • Ability to lift at least 40 pounds and perform the physical duties of the assignment.
  • Contractors focus on defined manual and repeatable work. PC technicians retain higher-skill activities, including ticket resolution, TW requests and disposition, held-lot decisions, NPI tasks, reclaim, and engineering requests.
  • Contractors must not independently make technical dispositions, process decisions, or other decisions outside their training and assigned authority.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to FOUP dials and transport FOUPs to and from the FAB.
  • Stage FOUPs near designated passthru locations based on operating priorities.
  • Unbox and unwrap new FOUPs in accordance with area expectations.
  • Unwrap production FOSBs and transfer production material to FOUPs.
  • Maintain clean, orderly work areas and organize work based on customer and production needs.
  • Provide clear shift pass down, participate in area meetings, and promptly escalate issues or hazards.
