Northrop Grumman's Space Systems, is seeking a Manufacturing Technician (Level 2 or 3) to work with our Case Value Stream Operations. This position will be located at our Clearfield, UT facility.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2 or more years manufacturing experience (for Level 2)
  • 4 or more years manufacturing experience (for Level 3)
  • Ability to follow planning requirements and to read, comprehend and follow established written instructions without deviation
  • Ability to read blueprints and perform basic math and measurement functions
  • Must be able and willing to perform shift work, overtime as required and work on weekends and holidays
  • Must possess a valid state driver’s license
  • Able to work a physically demanding day (stand for long periods; work from your knees; ascend and descend ladders; lift, bend, twist push and pull up to 50 lbs.) while wearing protective equipment (respirator, coveralls, gloves, eye and ear protection, etc.).
  • Safe handling of equipment and materials in a manufacturing environment
  • Operating industrial equipment such as cranes, forklifts, precision measuring instruments and hand tools.

  • Associates degree or Technical Certificate related to composite material

Responsibilities

  • Performs hands-on activities/tasks associated with manufacturing of composite rocket cases.
  • Tasks may include but are not limited to Tooling/Assembly/Disassembly, Case Surface Preparation, and winding composite equipment operation.
  • Maintaining cleanliness of work area and facilities, and other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Participates as a team member to positively influence and enhance the safety, quality, cost and scheduling of their team.
