About The Position

OpTek Systems, part of the Humanetics Group, is a global leader in laser processing tools and subcontract laser machining services. We design and build advanced solutions that empower innovation in industries ranging from biomedical instruments to aerospace and high-tech manufacturing. We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Technician to join our team. This role offers hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies including lasers, microscopes, and precision test equipment. Requirements

• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and follow work instructions.
• Comfortable working independently to meet schedules and deadlines.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Reliable, dependable, and committed to quality.
• Team player who is willing to assist colleagues.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience in assembly, manufacturing, or production environments preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience with small-scale mechanical assembly or disassembly is a plus.
• Experience using measurement tools to verify product quality preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and prepare materials to meet quality requirements using work instructions, prints, and assembly aids.
• Label, package, and complete required quality documentation for finished products.
• Operate production equipment and assist with machine setup/changeovers.
• Measure and inspect parts to ensure dimensional and cosmetic accuracy.
• Record production data accurately in Labortrak software.
• Follow ISO quality system requirements and maintain compliance at all times.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support production goals.
