About The Position

The Manufacturing Technician will be responsible for running all required equipment in a safe and efficient manner, including pumps, agitators, shakers, scales, and transporters/lift trucks. This role involves performing daily scale calibrations, maintaining housekeeping standards, and handling various duties such as washing equipment, loading tanks, and filtering product. The technician will also be responsible for labeling containers according to established processes, customer, and DOT requirements, as well as participating in area cleanup and auditing. The position requires the ability to lift/carry/push/pull 50 lbs, stand for 8 hours, and perform repetitive tasks including climbing ladders/stairs, bending, stooping, twisting, crouching, kneeling, reaching, and turning wrench/valve handles. Additionally, the technician will perform selective maintenance tasks to keep the process running, operate computer-controlled equipment, and adhere to all site and area guidelines, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). This role may also involve assisting in the training of other employees.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required.
  • 40 hr. work week (including occasional weekday and weekend overtime)
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
  • Capability to learn quickly and work in a self-directed team environment
  • Comfortable working with Hazardous materials while using proper PPE (gloves, masks, glasses, safety shoes, protective suits...Etc.
  • At least 3 years’ experience working in an Industrial or Manufacturing environment
  • 1 year Forklift Driving experience
  • Good Computer skills
  • Ability to lift/ carry/ push/ pull 50 Lbs. and stand for 8 hrs. per day
  • Ability to repetitively climb ladders/ stairs, bend, stoop, twist, crouch, kneel, reach above shoulders, turn wrench/ valve handles

  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Previous manufacturing experience
  • Previous experience operating lift trucks/ material handling
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Run all required equipment in a safe and efficient manner: Pumps/ Agitators/ Shakers Scales Transporters/ Lift Trucks
  • Perform daily scale calibrations
  • Maintain housekeeping
  • Washing equipment (tanks, pumps, piping and loading equipment)
  • Loading (charging) various size tanks from 5 to 500-gallon capacity
  • Loading (charging) moving and lifting gallon stock, drums and totes
  • Follow established process instructions and documentation (monitoring equipment)
  • Filtration of product (loading / charging FSI filter and traps)
  • Labeling of containers, following established process, customer and DOT requirements
  • Housekeeping (participating in area cleanup)
  • Auditing
  • Perform selective maintenance tasks / equipment switch-outs to keep the process running
  • Operate computer-controlled equipment
  • Follow all site and area guidelines pertaining to all functions within the plant and assigned tasks.
  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) that pertain to employees job functions
  • Assist in the training of other employees
