Requirements

  • Five or more years of manufacturing experience and a high school diploma/GED OR an associate degree in a technical field such as engineering
  • PC skills; Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Able to read and interpret specification drawings and written instructions

Nice To Haves

  • Root Cause Analysis experience (Six Sigma, Plan Do Check Act, Cause and Effect Analysis)
  • Lamination/press experience preferred
  • Knowledge of electronic test equipment (multimeters, Hypot tester, etc.) preferred
  • Strong understanding of production and manufacturing
  • Project management experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of products and work methods

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to a work cell or area by troubleshooting models and equipment
  • Prioritize multiple issues at once to best support production promptly
  • Responsible for equipment set-up, care, and repair as needed
  • Respond to Production line-stop incidents, keeping the lines producing parts
  • Inspect and set up tooling, programming and machines for Manufacturing that require specific tolerances
  • Train and assist manufacturing assemblers in various work centers as required
  • Participating in Root Cause Analysis and scrap reduction/prevention activities
  • Verify work methods and documentation in Manufacturing areas
  • Complete appropriate documentation (ECR’s, data sheets, etc.)
  • Support value stream continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
  • Lead work teams or projects toward work center initiatives, problem resolution, or other programs
  • Perform equipment/product qualification testing
  • Communicate with engineers, production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve machining or assembly problems
  • Apply a variety of assembly and manufacturing principles and practices within the Thermal Production area
  • Ensure compliance with quality or production standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned
