Summary: Responsible for assisting in the manufacturing process of metrology stands which includes: painting, assembly, and quality assurance. We want to see you embrace and immerse yourself in the assigned company's culture. Primary Responsibilities: Assist in the manufacturing process of metrology stands. Paint metrology stands prior to packaging and delivery to costumer. Participates in lean events, design reviews, cost reductions, cycle time savings, and training. Understand and follow established quality and safety standards. Follow approved processes to provide finished goods with a focus on quality and on-time delivery. Keep an organized work area in order to maintain a productive and safe work environment. Interact daily with production coordinators to communicate progress and take additional instruction. Education, Experience, Knowledge: High school diploma is required Schooling in machining, manufacturing, or a related field preferred Preferred experience in commercial/industrial painting High mechanical aptitude Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: None required Physical Requirements: Required to stand and sit for long periods of time Frequent moderate physical effort required Use hands and fingers to control, handle and feel objects Lift, push, and pull up to 75 pounds when necessary Special Requirements: Language Skills Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Computer Skills Ability to interpret and manipulate simple computer software programs Ability to read and input CNC programs Mathematical Skills Ability to add and subtract two-digit number and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using unity of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one-or two-step instructions. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
