Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent education
  • Minimum of 1 year of related experience.
  • Possess mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
  • Inspection techniques (e.g., visual, dimensional, non-destructive testing).
  • OSHA guidelines and workplace safety protocols.
  • Hazardous materials handling and emergency procedures.
  • Applying root cause analysis techniques.
  • Understanding process flow diagrams and control charts.
  • Spotting defects or inconsistencies in production.
  • Basic communication skills to comprehend, follow written and verbal direction.

  • Qualifications on specific Product Center equipment may substitute for years of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate competency in the core areas of Safety; Quality and Procedural Compliance; Productivity; Attendance/Availability; Qualifications Maintained; and specific skills appropriate to the Technician's training.
  • Have maximum proficiency of Technician II tasks and increased proficiency in Technician III tasks.
  • Become qualified as a new AF or OJTI or QC or Furnace.
  • Work duties may require alternate shift assignments.
