We are currently looking for an experienced Manufacturing Technician for our Brooklyn Center, Minnesota location with a strong electrical-mechanical background. This role will include day-to-day support varying from testing electronic and mechanical components, equipment, and systems. You will also manage all calibrated items within the Focus Factory and collaborate with Metrology Technicians and production technicians/engineers to schedule calibration activities, provide guidance on test and measurement equipment selection, issue Out-of-Tolerance (OOT) and Nonconformance (NC) reports as required. We’re working a minimum of 5 days a week onsite as part of our commitment to fostering a culture of professional growth and cross functional collaboration as we work together to engineer the extraordinary.

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience required
  • Requires a high school diploma

  • Strong interpersonal skills, professional judgment, and ability to perform well in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Experience developing and validating MS Excel spreadsheet templates
  • Experience in medical device or other regulated industries
  • Proven technical aptitude, including equipment setup and troubleshooting
  • Proficiency with: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
  • Windows OS
  • Minitab or other statistical analysis software
  • IndySoft or other calibration tracking databases

Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas.
  • Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems.
  • Works from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
  • Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format.
  • Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions.
  • Collaborate with Metrology technicians and equipment-owning engineers and technicians to: Schedule calibration activities, Provide guidance on test and measurement equipment selection, Issue Out-of-Tolerance (OOT) and Nonconformance (NC) reports as required.
