Manufacturing Technician II - (T2) 2nd Shift
About The Position
Applied Materials is hiring a Manufacturing Technician II to build, repair, and test display and wafer fabrication equipment in a cleanroom environment. The role works with electrical, electro-mechanical, vacuum, and pneumatic assemblies, subassemblies, and components. The technician performs electro-mechanical assembly, troubleshooting, repairs, inspections, and process improvements. The position uses test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors, and vacuum pumps to test assemblies, complete documentation, make repairs, and, when applicable, install software.
Responsibilities
- Use routine work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams, parts and wire lists, and written or verbal instructions to build, repair, and test electrical, electro-mechanical, vacuum, and pneumatic assemblies, subassemblies, and components.
- Perform electro-mechanical assembly operations, troubleshooting, and repairs; identify and correct errors.
- Follow safety standards and policies, maintain a safe and clean work environment, attend required safety training, use protective equipment when required, and promptly report accidents, injuries, hazards, or emergencies.
- Use test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors, and/or vacuum pumps to test assemblies, subassemblies, and components.
- Enter progress, work expense, and labor details on a computer terminal; may perform computer programming, repairs, or software installations.
- Detail finished work; receive parts and audit their availability and condition; inspect parts for defects; troubleshoot and improve processes.
