About The Position

L3Harris is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Technician to join our Norfolk VA team. The manufacturing technician will repair and overhaul circuit breakers, sub-assemblies, and related electrical equipment and perform evaluations, maintenance, and repairs on circuit breakers to ensure optimal performance. This role involves working as an individual contributor on routine tasks, under close supervision.

Requirements

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
Able to use MS Office (Excel, Word, Etc.)
Ability to explain facts and practices related to job area.
Effectively communicate with contacts typically within the team on matters that involve obtaining or providing information requiring explanation or interpretation to understand and reach agreement.
Must have a positive attitude, self-motivated with the ability to handle and complete multiple tasks within defined time limitations.

Responsibilities

Replace or repair faulty components, such as contacts, coils, and insulation.
Conduct diagnostic tests using specialized equipment to identify issues with circuit breakers and electrical systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical problems and non-conformances.
Perform current injection, insulation resistance testing, contact resistance testing, and other relevant tests to verify the integrity of circuit breakers.
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
Maintain accurate records of evaluation and repair activities, including test results and inspections.
Strong communication skills, both verbally and written.
Work with other departments as needed in a professional manner.
Performs other duties as assigned by Management.
