About The Position

Our Missle Solutions segment, an L3Harris Technologies Company is seeking a Manufacturing Technician B to join our growing facility in Camden, Arkansas. The Manufacturing Technician will join an exceptional cross-functional team of engineers and technicians to fabricate components and assemble them into the most advanced solid rocket systems in the world. L3Harris is an industry leading supplier of missile components to the government for use in national defense. This is a developing support-level position for mixing and processing of energetics for casting. The position will involve functions such as cleaning and assembling equipment, cleaning tools, parts, and work area and operating machinery. They will record and maintain records for manufactured products. Must work safely while producing a high-quality product and maintaining a clean and orderly work area.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
  • Willing and available to work other shifts or overtime as needed to meet production schedules.
  • Able to work from elevated platforms, ascend ladders, and transport 35 lbs. repetitively.
  • Medically cleared to wear a respirator and operate powered industrial vehicle (and obtain company issued license as appropriate).

Responsibilities

  • Prepares materials and performs full-scale mixing for all production programs, confirming acceptable weights prior to releasing the materials to casting operations.
  • Performs full-scale mixes for new programs/new formulations as they are introduced to the site.
  • Requisitions and organizes the materials and processing required for the mix.
  • Cleans and maintains full-scale mix equipment.
  • Performs mathematical calculations, such as, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, to create acceptable mixes for casting, and use process data to fill out manufacturing data sheets.
  • Assembles grinders and grinds materials for full-scale propellant mixes.
  • Weighs material bins to correct weight for propellant mixing.
  • Responsible for disassembly, cleaning, and re-assembly of full-scale grinding equipment.
  • AP prep for grinding, bowl plugging for mixing Prototype motor casting, development sample preparation, and support of new production initiatives and schedules.
  • Works safely while producing a high-quality product and maintaining a clean and orderly work area.
