About The Position

CIRCOR Aerospace & Defense is focused on the design, development, and manufacture of specialty fluid and motion control products for demanding aerospace and defense applications. CIRCOR products are flying on most commercial and military aircraft, including single and twin aisle air transport, business and regional jets, military transports and fighters, and commercial and military rotorcraft. Other markets include unmanned aircraft, shipboard applications, and military ground vehicles. Business units are in Corona, California; Warren, Massachusetts; Hauppauge, New York; Paris, France; Uxbridge, UK; and Tangier, Morocco. Requirements

  • Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience following assembly instructions and test procedures.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for electronic, electromechanical, or mechanical systems.
  • Experience performing repairs, failure analysis, and RMA evaluations.
  • Experience preparing and maintaining technical documentation and production records.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering documentation.
  • Proficiency with standard test equipment such as calipers, micrometers, multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and related diagnostic tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to travel domestically on an occasional basis.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a manufacturing, aerospace, defense, medical device, or product development environment.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems and controlled documentation processes.
  • Experience supporting environmental, performance, or compliance testing at independent or internal test laboratories.
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to follow assembly procedures and test procedures for products and subassemblies.
  • Perform product testing and verification to ensure compliance with engineering specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements.
  • Evaluate and improve test methods, fixtures, and processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and repeatability.
  • Troubleshoot product failures and identify root causes during manufacturing, testing, and field returns.
  • Diagnose, repair, and validate Returned Material Authorization (RMA) units, documenting findings and corrective actions.
  • Prepare and maintain complete data packages for production releases and RMA activities, including test results, inspection records, repair documentation, and supporting technical information.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to resolve technical issues and implement process improvements.
  • Prepare technical reports, test records, and repair documentation.
  • Support product qualification and certification activities at external or internal testing laboratories.
  • Travel occasionally within the United States to test laboratories, suppliers, customers, or other business locations as required.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment while adhering to company policies and industry standards.
