About The Position

This is a day/1st shift role focused on supporting Cardiac Diagnostics operations in Arden Hills. Responsible for performing functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, preventative maintenance, as well as performing system debugging on cellular phones, business systems, and electronic test equipment. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Works with engineers in conducting experiments and implementing changes on the manufacturing line. A successful candidate will have a proven track record of taking direction and delivering results with little supervision. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to learn new skills and work closely with manufacturing engineers to complete tasks such as new equipment evaluation forms, equipment procedures, process change analyses, validation support, etc.

Requirements

  • 3 years with AA degree or equivalent combination of education/work experience
  • Proven record of working closely and successfully with manufacturing and process development engineers
  • Comfortable reading electrical schematics and part drawings
  • Basic understanding of medical device documentation requirements
  • Great attitude and strong desire to learn new skills
  • Strong software aptitude

Nice To Haves

  • Manufacturing background
  • Medical Device regulation experience
  • Experience with cellular phones, SW applications, and ERP systems
  • Basic IT troubleshooting experience, including diagnosing computer, printer, driver, and peripheral device issues.
  • Ability to independently identify problems and implement practical solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Observes and complies with all safety rules and regulations.
  • Identify and troubleshoot process, material or equipment problems to minimize down time
  • Identifies and implements corrective actions for various manufacturing related issues
  • Regularly completes scheduled/preventive and calibration maintenance
  • Routinely responds & executes equipment maintenance and/or coordinates with outside contractors
  • Installs and validates equipment and processes in the production area to improve yield and/or reduce cycle time following the established validation procedure.
  • Evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment. May develop or revise documents and procedures.
  • Evaluates and orders necessary equipment, tools, and fixtures.
  • Train and provide technical support or direction to product builders and other technicians
  • Modify existing and develop new tooling and fixtures as necessary
