About The Position

HORIBA is seeking a Manufacturing Technician in Austin, TX, to join their North American Semiconductor group. This role involves working in a cleanroom environment to assemble, configure, install, and test mechanical and electro-mechanical components. The technician will utilize various instrumentation for pressure, flow, calibration, and temperature, and perform product flow testing, verification testing, and visual inspections of flow restrictor assemblies. The position requires working from detailed instructions and specifications under the guidance of a manufacturing engineer. Requirements

  • Knowledge of mechanical and electro-mechanical systems.
  • Knowledge of electrical and related mechanical principles, assembly applications and sequences.
  • General electrical assembly experience and knowledge of electrical and related mechanical principles.
  • Soldering skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Certificate or AS degree from a technical school or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of MS Windows and MS Office with emphasis on Excel.
  • Ability to read and understand schematics/blueprints.
  • Knowledge of cleanroom protocol.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, configure, install, and test mechanical and electro-mechanical components in a cleanroom environment.
  • Utilize various pressure, flow, calibration, and temperature instrumentation.
  • Perform product flow testing of flow restrictors.
  • Monitor and record test data.
  • Perform verification testing and meet quality standards.
  • Perform visual inspection of flow restrictor assemblies and incoming production material.
  • Collect samples for further inspection if required.
  • Package and label flow restrictors for inventory and shipment.
  • Work from detailed assembly instructions, drawings, and specifications, under the guidance of the manufacturing engineer.
