About The Position

CIRCOR Aerospace & Defense is focused on the design, development, and manufacture of specialty fluid and motion control products for demanding aerospace and defense applications. CIRCOR products are flying on most commercial and military aircraft, including single and twin aisle air transport, business and regional jets, military transports and fighters, and commercial and military rotorcraft. Other markets include unmanned aircraft, shipboard applications, and military ground vehicles. Business units are in Corona, California; Warren, Massachusetts; Hauppauge, New York; Paris, France; Uxbridge, UK; and Tangier, Morocco. The Manufacturing Tech I position involves performing mechanical assembly, which is typically highly complex and requires fitting, aligning or adjusting of components and/or assemblies to close tolerance. The role may require knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, fluids, and/or electronic principals with some soldering expertise. The individual will also perform testing, troubleshooting, tear down analysis and rework operations, and may be trained/proficient in Clean Room techniques. The person must ensure products are assembled with zero defects in accordance with customer requirements and follow customer instructions unless an override is approved due to special circumstances. Communication with leads, management, and other employees is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Minimum of 1 years' experience in practical applications
  • US Citizen

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with high pressure pneumatics, up to 20,000 psi is desired

Responsibilities

  • Under minimum supervision, may perform mechanical assembly which is typically highly complex and requires fitting, aligning or adjusting of components and / or assemblies to close tolerance.
  • Work may require knowledge of the following: hydraulics, pneumatics, fluids, and / or electronic principals with some soldering expertise.
  • Will perform testing, troubleshooting, tear down analysis and rework operations.
  • May also be trained / proficient in Clean Room techniques.
  • The person in this role must be able to ensure products are assembled with zero defects in accordance with customer requirements.
  • Customer instructions must be followed unless approval is given to override customer specification due to special circumstances.
  • The qualified candidate will be responsible for communicating and relating information to leads, management, and other employees within the organization.
